WHY IT'S IMPORTANT

BE WHAT YOU SEE

We reframe how girls are coached so they feel valued and respected. Female coaches are important role models. When girls identify with their coach, we counter stereotypes and boost self-confidence.

UNBREAKABLE

The winningest coach in NCAA history, Pat Summitt, is known as the toughest coach in college basketball. Girls are competitive. Coaches who don't meet girls' needs for competitiveness and treat them as fragile

send a detrimental message that girls are not as capable as boys.

GIRLS LOVE SPORT

Girls are naturally strong and athletic. Through basketball, girls have fun while being challenged. Tip-Off builds supportive relationships in a highly positive environment to keep girls loving sport.

EMPOWERED

In sports, mentorship is everything. Coaches don’t just teach technique—they model leadership, instill confidence, and shape how young athletes see themselves.

A Culture of Empowerment

All-female coaching teams often foster a culture of collaboration, empathy, and empowerment. They show that leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice

A Culture of Empowerment

All-female coaching teams often foster a culture of collaboration, empathy, and empowerment. They show that leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice—it’s about listening, supporting, and lifting others up.

For girls between 8 and 18, who are developing their identities and learning where they fit in the world, this kind of team culture can have lasting effects. It encourages girls to speak up, take risks, and celebrate each other’s successes.

Building the Next Generation of Female Leaders

Perhaps the greatest impact is the ripple effect. Girls coached by women are more likely to consider coaching themselves. This builds a pipeline of future female leaders who will go on to influence others, creating a cycle of empowerment that strengthens communities and the sports world as a whole.
